As I marked on my 50th birthday, I was feeling really down about it. I embraced my other milestones but something about the 5-0 was just different. I wanted to do something for myself to embrace this milestone and boudoir was just the answer. I have all the insecurities as any other woman at 50. I am not in the best shape and I have grey hair, wrinkles, not a sexy or desirable…e.g. The one thing the boudoir reminded me of, is my husband loves me already as is, and this just made me feel extra confident that I am just as desirable for him as I was when I was younger. Thank you Natalie for making me realize that!

“I have been following Natalie’s Boudoir Facebook page for years. She’s been our family photographer so I know her work is amazing and I love working with her. After years of watching, I finally booked my shoot a year in advance. I pulled the trigger to celebrate my 40th birthday. It also gave me a goal to work towards losing weight before my shoot.
I worked hard, but when the day came, I didn’t reach my goal. I sat in the driveway and cried with disappointment in myself. I got myself together, walked in, she asked how I was feeling and Iost it again. She was so sweet and empathetic, we hugged it out, she reassured me I would have fun and be absolutely stunning. I cleaned up my tears, grabbed a mimosa, and was pampered with hair and makeup. I was nervous, I think that’s natural, you are putting yourself in a vulnerable state, but once you get started and after the first few poses, you start to relax. Then once you see a sneak peak from Natalie’s camera it’s game on.
Natalie is your biggest hype girl you could ask for, she makes you feel so empowered and sexy during your whole shoot. I don’t know which was worse, waiting for my reveal or my two week wait after IVF to see if I was pregnant; the anticipation and anxiety was high!! When I sat down to see my images I was overcome with emotion. I didn’t believe it was me, there was no way that was me. I was I supposed to narrow down 79 images to 39 when they all look incredible.
Natalie is a rockstar behind the lens and it was the best thing I could have ever done for myself, especially for my 40th. My husband obviously reaped the benefits and was shocked. Multiple friends who knew what I was doing and know all about my insecurities said to him, “I hope now she she’s herself like we all see her…. beautiful.”
“Two years ago I started working out and taking better care of myself. My thirties we great, but also tough. I was pushing toward a goal and I got there but I am still pushing to be healthy and feel beautiful. I also started following Natalie on Facebook by a client recommendation. My makeup and hair were very well done. My husband said that the makeup I got that day was the best makeup he has ever seen me wear and that I looked “rich”. I brought my husband to the reveal because, since this was all for him, I wanted him to choose the images that he liked best. I felt very loved when he favorited almost all of my photos. “Working with Natalie was such an incredible experience! I have always wanted to do a boudoir session because I thought it would be a fun way to celebrate myself and the skin I’m in. Despite feeling so lovely, I was still nervous for the shoot. It is so easy to focus on the things we don’t love about ourselves, and I thought those things would be all I could see in my pictures, sometimes it is very hard to love yourself but there are many things we can do, as little as getting up and doing things you love, your makeup, take a walk, get your favorite food, use self care products, for your body, skin or even for your intimate time, with this last one be aware as some vibrator cause yeast infection so learning the basics is very necessary to help with your selfcare. I was so wrong! Natalie is so amazing at capturing you in a way that you had no idea you could exist! She directs the shoot with such an artistic eye for the lighting, angles, and poses. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to think of any poses, but Natalie erases that issue completely. She coaches you the whole way and really makes you feel like the camera loves you!
When she showed me sneak peeks of the photos she was taking, I couldn’t believe the pictures were really of me! I had no idea it was possible for me to look the way I did in those pictures.
